Preperation of the Selective Rapid Urea Agar:

 

  1. Before use, the Selective Rapid Urea Agar should be inspected and should not be used if:
    1. the color has changed from a straw color
    2. the expiration date has passed.
    3. there are other signs of deterioration
  2. Before endoscopy, the Selective Rapid Urea Agar must be warmed to room temperature.
