- By recommendation from the Hematology/Oncology
section for:
- Immunocompromised patients at risk of GVHD (Graft vs Host
Disease).
- Bone marrow transplant recipients and congenital
immunodeficiency syndrome.
- Leukemia and lymphoma patients.
- Intrauterine transfusion, premature newborns

- Limited supply stocked inhouse.
- Routine Deliveries: Tuesday and Friday before noon, Monday and
Wednesday by 6PM
- Minimum 1 hour/Maximum 5 hour TAT if supply not available in
house.

CMV Negative RCP's |
- By recommendation from the Hematology/Oncology
section for:
- Immunocompromised patients at risk of developing
Cytomegalovirus.
- Transplant Candidates
- Low birth weight infants
|
- Limited supply stocked inhouse.
- Routine Deliveries: Tuesday and Friday before noon, Monday and
Wednesday by 6PM
- Minimum 1 hour/Maximum 5 hour TAT if supply not available in
house.
- Only CMV seronegative patients require CMV negative
products. Determination of patient's CMV status is
recommended.

Washed Packed RCP's |
- Heme/Onc physician or pathologist recommendation required.
- Symptomatic Anemia
- Patients with documented history of Allergic Transfusion
Reactions.
- When component plasma contains antibodies known to be harmful
to the intended recipient (e.g. patients with Anti-IgA or known to
be IgA deficient)..

- Not routinely stocked inhouse.
- Available upon request from American Red Cross
- Routine Deliveries: Tuesday and Friday before noon, Monday and
Wednesday by 6PM
- Minimum 6-8 hours Emergency TAT.
- Not to be used as a leukoreduced product.
- Shelf life of component: 24 hours from time of component
preparation at the American Red Cross.
