Body fluids, except CSF (For CSF, please order LAB22225)., Tissue - RPMI (Transport media tubes), sterile saline also acceptable.
Specimens must be received within 48 hours of collection.

Causes for Rejection
Frozen, clotted or hemolyzed specimens. Specimens greater than 48 hours old
Tissue - in formalin/ fixed, frozen or warmer than 37oC
Special Requirements
- Must have a completed and signed URMC requisition sent with specimens.
- Place specimens, requisition, CBCA results, and billing in URMC shipping container
- Place bag in URMC pick-up area in CLP and enter information into the log sheet
- If specimens are collected at sites other than MIB campus they MUST arrive by courier by 6pm. Courier arrives for pick up at 7pm.
