Transportation Needs
Deliver specimen to the laboratory at the end of collection. If transportation is expected to exceed 1 hour, provisions must be made to keep the urine chilled

Mislabeled or unlabeled specimen
Greater than 10% of total volume lost
Inappropriate urine preservative used
Specimen not refrigerated during and after collection
No serum collection within 72 hours of urine collection

Serum Creatinine must be completed within 24 hours of urine collection. Recommend collecting serum creatinine when the 24 hour urine is completed and dropped off.
NOTE: Test will not be performed without both urine and serum specimens
