> 30 days Refrigerated (Urine tubes are routinely stored at the lab for only 7 days therefore, an add-on may not be possible after 7 days.)

Reflex Testing

A urine creatinine (CPT: 82570) is performed and billed on all requests for 24 hour urine chemistries

Additional Information

Samples should not be collected after exertion, in the presence of urinary tract infection, during acute illness, immediately after surgery, or after an acute fluid load

Specimens visibly contaminated with blood are not suitable for analysis of albumin concentration

Urine specimens should not be frozen
