Storage Requirements
- Specimens must remain capped and refrigerated. Sample tubes should be centrifuged within 2 hour of collection. Use Gold Top tubes when transporting tubes from regional sites. Do not transfer to an aliquot tube.
- If Specimen is uncapped testing must be performed within one hour.
- Instruction for handling specimens at Outreach sites:
Collect in Gold (SST) top tube
Centrifuge specimen within 2 hours of collection. DO NOT UNCAP OR ALIQUOT SERUM
Store and transport refrigerated
Transportation Needs
Deliver specimen to laboratory within 1 hour of collection if unspun. If not possible see "storage Requirements".
