Collect in Gold (SST) top tube
Centrifuge specimen within 2 hours of collection.
Do not remove Cap
Stable 48 hours at 2-8 °C.
Store and transport refrigerated

Mislabeled or unlabeled specimen
Less than 50% draw for Vacutainer tubes
Frozen Specimen
> 48 hours at 2-8° Celsius
Uncentrifuged >2 hour
All other tubes or anticoagulant other than Serum gold.

Other Requirements:
Collect anaerobically; Specimen tube must remain tightly capped at all times.
Avoid excessive use of tourniquet or muscular activity 30 minutes prior to collection
Specimen must be received and tested within 48 hours of collectoin.

Tubes should be centrifuged within 2 hour of collection.
