Limitations

With the exception its use as a monitor for certain rheumatologic conditions, a C-reactive protein test (CRP) may be considered a replacement for the ESR

Add-on requests for specimens over stability acceptability will not be performed. It is suggested that the clinician consider ordering a C-reactive protein test
