Transportation Needs
Deliver to laboratory at room temp within 30 minutes.
Do not send Green top tubes through pneumatic tube system .
Syringes with air expelled at collection are acceptable to be transported in the pneumatic tube system.
Causes for Rejection
Specimen not received within 30 min of collection at room temp or 60 min of collection on ice.
Specimen contaminated with Room Air (bubbles in syringe or uncapped)
Pneumatic tube transport of Green top tubes.
